Eileen Sheahan Obituary

On November 17, 2001, Eileen Deborah Sheahan was born into this world, and on January 27, 2024, she was born into eternal peace. After an accident while skiing in Colorado, Eileen tragically passed away. Patricia O’Brien nee Sheahan and Terrence Sheahan raised her as a loving daughter. Erin, Margaret, and Michael were incredibly lucky to have her as a big sister. Aside from the Hendricks cousins, who looked up to her as a sister, she was idolized by the Caplice cousins: Nell (Sam Dickie) and Mac, as well as the O’Brien cousins: Patrick, Carlin, and Shaun.

The O’Malley cousins include Courtney (Ryan Leonard), Molly, Shea, Ryan, Tara, Brennan, Annie, and Meg; the Sheahan cousins include Morgan, Lee, Caroline, Tommy, Mick, Elle, Lila and Owen. Katie and Tom O’Malley, Michael Sheahan, Pam Munizzi, Tim and Debbie Sheahan, Ryan and Anne Sheahan, and Patrick and Renee Sheahan loved her as a niece. She is survived by Kathy and Tom Caplice, Mariellen and Mike Hendricks, Jim and Karen O’Brien, Jim and Karen O’Brien, Mariellen and Mike Hendricks, Jim and Karen O’Brien, and Patrick and Renee Sheahan. In heaven, she has been reunited with her grandparents, Mike and Nancy Sheahan, and Pat and Debbie O’Brien.

The Academy at St. Joan of Arc in Evanston was Eileen’s grade school, while Loyola Academy in Wilmette was her high school. Her senior year at the University of Michigan was just a few months away from graduation with a degree in Economics. The friends she made at each school made Eileen feel privileged to attend each one.

In her short time on earth, Eileen had a profound impact on those around her. Her grace, kindness, wit, beauty, and brilliance made her an extraordinary person. A consummate doer, she was full of boundless energy. In everything she did, she put her family, friends, and other people first. It was a pleasure to know her, and she was a bright light wherever she went. The eyes of Eileen were as blue as the ocean, and her smile was like no other. Style was amazing, but she remained true to herself. Her favorite pastimes were cooking, laughing, and exploring new places. As a student in Barcelona, Spain, she spent a semester traveling throughout Europe last year. The people who were lucky enough to call Eileen a friend were blessed to have her in their lives. Those who knew her will always remember her love, laughter, and compassion.
